GME SIFTER BOXES
GME Sifter Boxes feature rugged steel construction for long service life. These boxes are designed for moderate dumping and sifting of rock and debris from soil, to filter out light back fill. They can be used to sift soil right at the job site. For screening large boulders, heavy-duty bar screen is available. The boxes are available in several sizes and weights. Light Duty Bedding Boxes
The BL4, BL7, and BL9 Light Duty are designed for use with lighter machinery. The top frame is further strengthened by an inner core of hardwood. It is constructed of 3/16" plate at the ends and sides, and 3/8" plate on the bottom. Wear strip on bottom and 44" profile is standard on these boxes.
Round Manhole Trench Shield
The Round Manhole Shields are specially designed for personal protection during manhole installations and repair work. High strength steel walls, welded securely to rigid steel top and bottom framing. Optional replaceable cut-outs allow for clearance of utility lines. RMH Shields are light enough for handling with rubber-tired backhoes, yet provide maximum protection for workers in the hole.
Square Manhole Trench Shield
The square manhole configuration provides the needed inside clear span while reducing the amount of excavation and restoration required. GME manhole shields ship knocked down and assemble in minutes at the job site. Standard models include two walls, two spreader assemblies, eight holding pins and keepers.

3L Series Trench Shield
The 3L Series Drop Box is specifically designed for plumbing and utility work, general maintenance, repairs, and other light duty applications. The 3L Series is easily handled by smaller rubber-tired backhoes, and lowered into position in the trench for fast worker protection and code compliance.
3M Series Trench Shield
The 3M Series trench shields are ideal for plumbing and utility work, maintenance and repair and other light duty applications. The narrow 3-inch wall in the 3M Series is the lightest weight steel trench shield we manufacture.
4L Series Trench Shield
The 4L Series Trench shield is ideal for contractors who typically excavate to depths of 12 to 15 feet. This shield is modeled for the smaller rubber-tired excavators / loader machines. Utilizing special light weight materials, this shield is ideal for repair / maintenance work.
The 4L Series is not designed for continuous pipe laying duty. Care should be exercised when quoting this unit.
4M Series Trench Shield
The 4M Series narrow - wall trench shield from GME can help your turn a few extra inches into lots of profitable yards. That's because the 4M Series has 4 - inch thick sidewalls, rather than the 8 - inch thick walls of our 8M Series. Those narrower walls translate into eight fewer inches of width you need when excavating your trenches, and that can quickly add up to lots of cubic yards of extra soil you will not have to excavate. Result? Faster excavation time, with reduced labor time and minimum amount of machine cycles, to help keep you in the black.
